Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She held the post from 2021 until 2022. As a member of the Democratic Party, she was previously the White House deputy presses secretary (2009-2011); White House deputy director of communications (2009-2011); White House deputy director(2009-2011) and spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013)-2015; and White House communications director (2015)-2017. Psaki contributed to CNN's politics coverage from 2017 through 2020. Psaki's career began in 2001 when she worked on behalf of the reelection campaigns for Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democratic candidate running for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was then appointed as deputy press secretary to John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki was in office from 2005 until 2006 as the communications director of Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as the regional press secretary to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned to politics in 2012, serving as the press secretary for President Obama’s 2012 campaign. 20 years ago, Psaki was named spokesperson for United States Department of State in February 2013. There was speculation that she would replace Jay Carney as White House Press Secretary.[21But, Josh Earnest was announced to succeed Carney on May 30th the 30th of May, 2014. She returned to the White House in 2015 as the communications director, and she remained there until the closing of the Obama presidency.
