Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born on March 4, 1954. She is a comedian from Canada, actress, and writer. O'Hara is the proud recipient of numerous awards that include a Genie Award. In 2018, O'Hara was made an Officer of Canada. In the year 2020, she received the Governor General’s Performing Arts Performing Arts Artistic Achievement Award. O'Hara was first noticed as an actress when she was a member the The Second City improv comedy troupe in Toronto in 1974. With John Candy and Dan Aykroyd she was part of the main team of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara and Candy began work in Second City Television's sketch comedy show (1976-1984). O'Hara won the Primetime Emmy Award in 1981 for her outstanding writing for a Variety Series. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the new Second City artistic advisory board which was headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
